Canadian Walk for Veterans
Canadians Walking Shoulder to Shoulder
Don't miss your chance to walk in the 3rd Annual Canadian Walk for Veterans!
2020 has been an imposing year so far and we at the CWFV want to show our appreciation for all those that have taken up the call of "Service before self." Our Military, First Responders, and essential workers have stepped up to the challenges of this year in ways we could not have fathomed previously. As such, we have decided to shift our theme for the 2020 walk towards what is in the hearts of us all in these times. Service, Sacrifice, and selflessness are the tenants of our best. We want to share our thanks and highlight the contributions made by those that choose to give of themselves when times get hard. To the Military, Veteran, First Responders, Civil servants, and every essential worker across the country; This year's walk is for you!
Our goal has always been to have a CWFV in every city across Canada where we as a nation could walk shoulder to shoulder in honour of our Veterans and first responders. This year we have taken the opportunity to offer the CWFV in an entirely new format. The 2020 walk will now be totally virtual! This means that we can now exceed our goal and have a walk in every Province, every City, and every Town!
We encourage all our participants to get out into their communities and walk, run, bike, do push ups or burpees or do any other exercise they can think of, thank a first responder, military member, veteran, or dedicate your effort to those in service!
We cant wait to see the nation come together in support of those who support our nation!

Where are the proceeds going?
The Canadian Walk for Veterans is aware of the massive assistance that a service dog can do for someone suffering with PTSD, OSI's, or traumatic events. These dogs have a huge impact due to their intensive training and unwavering loyalty. The cost to develop one of these dogs can be immense, preclusive for some, and is unfortunately still not covered by Veteran Affairs Canada. The Canadian Walk For Veterans is proud to donate the net proceeds from this years event to Courageous Companions. This organizations mission is "to provide top quality service dogs to help military veterans and First Responders live full and meaningful lives." For more information, Click on the link below!
